The Ultimate Vest: Perfect for Everyday Wear!

I have always been someone that carries around more then what is actually comfortable. My purse tends to be overflowing and so stuffed that I can’t find anything. And when I was carrying around baby items, it was a disaster!

I had my purse and the diaper bag, full to the brim … And you know what? They would end up being so heavy that I would leave them in the car wherever we went so that I didn’t have to lug them around!

My daughter seems to have taken after me — she cannot leave the house without a plethora of items in tow. The biggest problem with this is that she drops them, misplaces them, and eventually wants me to hang on to them for her.

It is not an idea situation.

The vest that changed it all …

A few months ago, I was introduced to the Mom’s Utility Vest and The kuvvy from Vestopia. They have been amazing!

V has really been going the distance with her kuvvy. She wears it multiple times a week to school and anytime she knows that we are going to a family members house, shopping, or anywhere that she will actually have to keep track of her belongings. She loves to stuff the many pockets full of notepads, little pencils, toys … even her iPod.

Plus the kuvvy is really cute. A bright blue outside with the softest polka dot liner. V has even worn her kuvvy inside out — and I have to say that I just love the look of the polka dots! There are 7 pockets in this vest, plus a few spots to actually clip an item onto. V has added some of her cute backpack charms, and she even used it to hold her water bottle when we took a long walk a few weeks ago.

I got to really put the Mom’s Utility Vest to the test when we moved in November. Last time we moved, Jay and I misplaced the keys, our cell phones, and any other small item that we needed on us that day. It was terrible. Things were a mess and it took us forever to located our missing items.

I did not want to do that again this time.

I loved how many pockets there are in the Mom’s Utility Vest!! I could hold our keys, phones, the kids favorite small toys, the iPad (which we almost forgot at the old house!) and so much more. Originally designed for moms with babies, this vest could easily replace your diaper bag.

But it is so much more then a diaper bag. It is cute, stylish and comfortable enough to wear every day, and you would never know that there was a large pocket on the back designed to hold a changing pad, diapers and wipes! This would be the ultimate vest to wear hiking or camping as there are just so many places to stash item — there are even insulated pockets to keep your cold drinks or snacks cold!

I just love it.

I have found myself throwing it one before going shopping at the mall. It is so nice to not have to worry about lugging my purse around. I just grab the money and credit cards that I need, stick them in one of the pockets, pop my keys in another pocket, my sunglasses in another, my phone in another … well you get the picture!! — and go.

I also wear it anytime I go for a walk. It lets me carry my drink, and the kids drinks, plus my phone, ipod, and camera and I don’t have to worry about dropping anything or getting sick of hauling it around with me. Plus if we stop to play at the local playground, I don’t have to worry about something being taken out of the stroller, being dropped, or lost.

It is very freeing to not be so attached to my purse at all times!

The Mom’s Utility Vest has won a variety of awards including the PTPA Seal of Approval, Mom’s Best Award, Top Choice Award, Creative Child Magazine, and The kuvvy is Top Product of the Year Award from Creative Child Magazine! To say that these vest are amazing may be a bit of an understatement :)

Vestopia was started 4 years ago by Sonja Pettingill, and she has worked tirelessly on designs, fabrics, pocket placement, and she has even worked with a chiropractor to develop the Mom’s Utility Vest. The current version has been determined to be much healthier for your back, neck and shoulders than carrying bags and is endorsed by an Orthopedic Doctor.

At the end of this month, Sonja is launching an Indigogo campaign so that she can really kick production into high gear. As of right now, the Mom’s Utility Vest and kuvvy are being made in small batches. I will be posting more information, including links, to the Indigogo campaign as soon as I have it!

If you are looking for a great gift for a new mom, an avid camper/hiker, or a little one that loves to carry everything they own around with them, the Mom’s Utility Vest and kuvvy are just what you need … and just what they will love!
