I love, love, LOVE Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays. There are so many reasons to love Halloween, but one of my favorite things about it are all the pumpkins! We decorate both outside and inside with them, carve a few, paint a few, and we always roast the seeds (yum!).
I usually buy a carving kit each year, but this year, I am going to print some great free templates that I found online.
Here are some super cute Frankenweenie pumpkin cutouts! I just love this bat template!! You can download this one, plus three more (with directions) here : Frankenweenie Pumpkin Templates
I love these Mini Jack-‘o-Lantern designs! They are so cute. Even if you didn’t actually cut them out, you could trace them and paint the design on. You can download this template and check out the other great designs available on the Martha Stewart website.
This is the cutest spider I have ever seen! You can download this template and many others from the Pumpkin Masters website.
In addition to these super cute templates, I may attempt to make my own. Check out these awesome pumpkins that are really inspiring me this year:
And of course, I cannot forget my kids (and Jay) that tend to come up with some pretty great pumpkin designs on their own!!
What are you pumpkin carving plans this year? Do you follow a template when you carve pumpkins, or do you just free-style your design?
