I have always loved to take pictures. I can remember as a teenage always have a disposable, one-time-use camera with me at all times. My friends and I loved to have impromptu photo shoots and sometimes the pictures were amazing and other times … not so much
I still have many of those pictures. They are in a big box that I lug around with me. Every few years, I get the itch to dig them out and look them over. I was really upset the last time that I did this because many of them had been ruined.
They were stuck together and some were even faded in spots. It was not how I expected these memories to last.
I had no idea that those images could be made digital. Sure, I had thought about putting them on my computer, but the thought of scanning every single photo (I honestly have hundreds and hundreds) was way to daunting and overwhelming.
When I found out that a site called PeggyBank would do it all for me, I was super excited!
PeggyBank makes turning your memories – from photos to VHS movies – into lasting, easy to share and enjoy images and videos to reminisce over. They send you a box to fill up and then they do the rest. That is all you have to do — just transfer your current paper photos into a new box! Super, super easy.
Plus, they send the originals back to you. All of your newly digital files are uploaded onto your own free personal PeggyVault making them easy to view and share. Plus what I really love is that you can have all of your files backed up on physical storage device so that you have a copy with you as well as a copy online.
It has taken me some time, but I have finally weeded through all of my photos and picked out some that I must have preserved. There are photos of my dad that I would be heartbroken to lose, and others that bring back such happy memories of my childhood that I just can’t help but smile when I see them. I also have some home movies of my daughter on those mini-disks that I would love to have playable!
I am sure that many of you can relate… and because of that, I have an awesome opportunity for you!!
