Feeding your kids is a tough and time consuming job. As a parent, it is up to you to make sure that you kids are getting healthy foods that aren’t filled with artificial ingredients, packed with salt or sugar, or high in fat. In addition to that, you have to make sure that they are getting their fill of veggies … did I mention that it has to taste good and be something that a super picky toddler/preschooler/child will eat? It sometimes feels like a constant headache and an unbelievable amount of time thinking about what I am going to make for lunch or dinner. Well, I do have some good news – providing a healthy, quick and delicious meal just got a little bit easy with Kidfresh frozen meals.
I know what you are thinking – a frozen meal is usually full of junk and never tastes very good. Plus its a little bit iffy to cook in that plastic bowl. Kidfresh is different.
Kidfresh frozen meals are 100% natural – they do not contain anything artificial. Plus, they are loaded with hidden veggies. Yup, HIDDEN. So your preschool that claims to “hate” carrots, will actually be eating them – and enjoying them! – without even knowing it. And that plastic bowl? It’s BPA-free and phthalate-free so you don’t have to worry about it!
Even better? (Yup, it gets better!) These meals are delicious!
We had the chance to try a few out, and every one we tried was a huge hit with both of my kids. Of course I had to each meal a taste as well – I was very curious as to why my kids were inhaling their lunches – and I wished that the meals were really for me. They were so good.
V loved the quesadillas, and ate both in one sitting. They cooked up super quick, and all I added was a little bit of sour cream if she wanted to dip them. She didn’t. She actually prefered to eat them plain, on their own. Something that doesn’t often happen when quesadillas are served.
The Totally Twisted Pasta & Meatballs was another huge hit – especially with E. He ate every single meatball in the bowl, and half of the pasta! Then asked for more! V isn’t as much of a meatball fan as he is, but she enjoyed some of the noodles (the few bites that we managed to smuggle away from E!) and told me that they were almost as yummy as mine (oh how I love that girl!).
Mac and Cheese and Chicken Stir-fry are two meals that I very frequently make… mainly because they are family favorites. I was very anxious to see how these frozen versions would go over with my kids. Can you guess…. they loved them! The Rainbow Rice and Chicken was split between the two kids for lunch, and both of their bowls were emptied! I don’t think there was a single grain of rice left, and they both said “Mmmm” after ever bite. It was a very quick, and mostly quiet, lunch.
V is a little picky with her Mac and Cheese, and while she did enjoy the wagon wheels, she “prefers” elbows (evidently, they taste different!), but E really liked the new shape of the pasta, and I have since been switching it up for his enjoyment when I make noodles. The cheese sauce was very yummy, and I was happy to see that there was a lot of it!
As you can probably guess, we loved these meals! They are perfect to keep on hand for nights that you just don’t want to cook, or for a quick lunch or dinner when you have a time crunch. You really can’t go wrong with these healthy, natural, veggie-packed, delicious meals.
Now if only they would make an adult sized meal…. I may never have to cook again…..
