With summer right around the corner (woo-hoo for nice weather!!) it is important for me to find fun things for my kids to do. Add to that a daughter that loves to get mail, and I know the perfect thing for keeping the mid-summer boredom from setting in … A care package from GourmetGiftBaskets.com!
After checking out all the great Care Packages offered, I knew my kids – especially V – would enjoy the Deluxe Camp Care Package. When this box full of goodies arrived you would have thought it was Christmas morning! The kids were thrilled by what was tucked inside.
A few of their favorite items were immediately run off with – these included a kick ball (which we had to wrestle back from the baby to properly inflate!), a huge bendable pencil, a flashlight, a toothbrush and – oddly enough – the pocket tissues. Both kids enjoyed these items for the remainder of the afternoon, and while the tissues are gone (they were used as all types of things from doll wipes to cleaning “rags” … even as blankets for Barbie!) the pencil, flashlight and toothbrush are still pulled out ever couple of days.
The kick ball has found a great home outside with all of our sand and outdoor toys, and I am slowing bringing out the other goodies. I personally liked the cork/dry erase board and I hung that in the kitchen to help me keep track of my grocery and store lists. I put it low enough so that V can reach it, and she likes being able to draw on the board as well.
This was a great Care Package and I can see a camper – or any child for that matter! – being thrilled at its arrival.
