Get Your Kids Reading with Bookboard!

My kids have officially taken over my iPad. I guess that I can’t even really call it *my* iPad anymore, because it is filled with their games, drawings and now with their books.

I recently signed up for Bookboard – a children’s book service that encourages and supports a new generation of readers by providing a different approach to reading on digital devices. Rather than providing a digital marketplace where families buy and download books, Bookboard offers an affordable subscription service that allows instant exploration of a vast, curated library.

Bookboard aims to inspire young readers by helping them discover new titles and earn fun achievements. As they read, families discover, unlock, and collect great stories to foster a sense of accomplishment that keeps kids coming back for more. At the same time, parents can track reading progress, and use our fun metrics to motivate kids to read even more.

My kids, especially V, has really been loving this app. She is just learning to read on her own, so any opportunity for her to practice is welcome. Plus it is so nice to be able to take more then one book on the go with us … because, lets face it. Books are heavy. And toting 2 or 3 along with you to the store, on a car ride, or even out to dinner is not always easy. Having everything available on the iPad makes it so much easier.

Signing up for Bookboard is easy – it only takes 3 steps. Then tell Bookboard about you and your family of readers, and it will tune the library for each kid. As kids read more, they’re rewarded with more books based on their reading habits and interests. Bookboard grows with your family – new books and fun, delight-driven features are added monthly to keep readers engaged.

That app sounds awesome!! I am a HUGE reader and I love reading to my daughter. This would be perfect to bring along to the doctor’s office, so you’re not touching their germy books and you have a nice variety without trying to tote a small library. Thanks so much for sharing!
