Fresh Baby Kid’s Portion Plate {Review and Giveaway} (CLOSED)

My children do NOT like it when their food touches – at all. If it is not cooked together (and even sometimes if it is) it cannot touch … even a little. This is slightly problematic – especially when you consider my kids love round foods like peas! I had been searching for a divided plate, and was pretty disappointed by the lack of variety and colors that were available in my local stores. These plates were boring – and while I did purchase a few, the plastic was cheap and did not hold up well to constant use.

When I had the chance to try Fresh Baby’s Kid’s Portion Plate there were so many things that I loved about it right away.

Our Kid’s plate provides you a little extra support in making your child’s mealtime healthy.

The plate contains 3 divided sections that are appropriately sized for:

  • Fruits & Vegetables
  • Proteins
  • Grains

The easy-to-read, colorful theme emphasizes Healthy Lifestyle:

  • Being Active
  • Eating a rainbow of colors

Material: 100% Melamine
Lead, BP-A & Phthalate – FREE.

Durable, Dishwasher-safe, Never use in microwave

I really like that it is a heavier plastic – it really holds up to food, kids, the dishwasher and being dropped and sometimes played with. I don’t have to worry about the food being pushed out the sides either because the sections are actually pretty deep. This is especially useful when E is using it – he needs that extra “wall space” to get the food all the way on his fork sometimes.

It was great for V because it is helping us teach her how to make her own plate, and how much of each food group she should be eating at dinner. She loves filling up her fruit and veggie section with whatever fits the bill. We have had to start making extra veggies at night for dinner just so she can get her “proper” fill! I can’t complain – my kids love to eat their vegetables (now I just hope that it lasts!).

The plate has both pictures and words to label the different sections, and V really likes to look at the different things and talk about what we might be having for dinner … or what she wishes we were having!

This plate makes an appearance at least once a day. Sometimes, one kid uses it for lunch, it hits the dishwasher and the other gets it for dinner. It has quickly become everyone’s favorite plate!
