Feed The Woozle {Family Game}

My kids love to play games. V has been an avid board gamer for the past 2 years, and E is finally old enough that he can join in the fun!

But finding a game that both kids want to play can be a bit of a challenge. V doesn’t want to play anything she deems a “baby game” and E can’t play most of the games that she likes — he just isn’t big enough to really get how to play yet.

Feed The Woozle has been the perfect game for them!

With three different ways to play, we have been able to play this gave over and over again without getting tired of it.  I love that it is a cooperative game – so the kids are learning to work together and on a team. There are no hurt feelings because one child lost, and it has made for a very positive game experience for E.

And the kids — they both love it!

The first few times that we played, we followed the basic instructions. E needed to get used to carrying the spoon filled with game pieces before we added in some dancing, hopping and other fun moves.

This game is now played daily!

The kids will take it out and play rounds at a time. They have so much fun. Sometimes they follow one of the sets of rules, and sometimes, they make up their own rules. E’s coordination is really improving — he is getting the “food” over and getting it into the Woozles mouth just as easily as V is.

It is so much fun to watch them working together and having fun. I love that this game allows them to get creative with how they play… Allowing for hours of silly fun!

Feed The Woozle has just been honored as an American Specialty Toy Retailers Association’s  Best Toys for Kids winner, in the “Games Play” 3-7 years category. The game also gets kudos from the National Autism Resources.
