Wow. Another month has flow by and with it most of my summer. I can’t believe that this time is going so fast.

This month has been filled with ups and downs.

I started using Almond Milk to make my shakes – and it was super delicious – until I had an allergic reaction to it! My throat and mouth felt tingly and swollen, and at first I thought that I was just coming down with a cold. I did take a few days off of Cinch while I “got better”, but I was still trying to eat and drink healthy … and still consuming both Almonds and soy.

When the funky throat feeling didn’t go away, I thought it might have something to do with the Almonds. I completely stopped eating them.

I have noticed some improvement with my throat, but I will still having a reaction after eating soy. I have scheduled an appointment with my doctor to try to get to the bottom of it. But as it stands right now, I have eliminated all tree nuts and soy from my diet — including the Cinch products.

I am hoping that I am not allergic to the soy so that I may continue with the program, but I have to wait and see.

I did go down a few pounds though! I am down 5 more pounds for a total weight loss of 8lbs in 2 months. It isn’t the number that I hoped to see, but at least I am still losing!

Current Weight/Measurements

I have been staying very active this month by riding a stationary bike and walking when the weather is nice (it has been rain central here!). I have also been doing lots of squats, and various arm exercises. I am trying to find a gym with childcare, and the are surprisingly hard to find in my area!

What indoor/at home exercises do you find most effective? I’d love some new moves!

    Oh no! I hope you aren’t allergic to soy! Do you have a thyroid problem? Almonds and soy are no-no’s when you do.

      I hope I’m not either — there is soy in so much! I don’t think that I have a thyroid problem.. how do you other then being tested? Any symptoms that may be clues?

      never heard of that. I’ve had a low thyroid for 44 years and been on Shaklee’s products since ’73. it has improved my allergies so much that the allergy dr finally quit telling me “No it can’t be ‘vitamins'” to “Well if it’s that , don’t stop”. hopefully,, it’s the nuts-which are very allergic to many. Also Shaklee has Whey protein if u can’t have soy Good luck You’ve done great so far. Many times, it’s common when getting on a product like Shaklee, u can get a cold as it first works on your organs, then to the muscles. It feeds every cell, but if your body is very toxic from fast foods, etc, it’s not unusual to get a cold at first…which might be your LAST cold if u can stay on them.
