Brugo Mug {Review and Giveaway} (CLOSED)

As someone that drinks a TON of coffee, I need a travel coffee mug! BUT… Not just any mug will do.

As a busy mom trying to save some money, it is not practical for me to purchase coffee multiple times a day. Plus, I get frustrated when buying hot coffee – it always seems to spill or slosh out of the cup creating a huge mess. Even more frustrating is that it is either much to hot to drink, or it gets cold way to fast and then I don’t want to drink it. My search for the perfect travel mug has come to an end – I have discovered the Brugo Mug… and I am in LOVE!

The first thing that made me excited about the Brugo Mug was that it is LEAK PROOF! Yup – a leak proof travel mug. I know, I didn’t believe it at first either. When the mug arrived this was my first test. I filled it with my coffee, slid the “mode selector” to LOCK and tipped it upside down. Nothing came out! I decided to push it a little further, so I shook it, and rolled it around on the counter – NOTHING! Needless to say, I was very impressed.

The Brugo Mug features double-wall insulation, and will keep your coffee nice and hot while you drink it – even if it takes you a little while. But because no one wants to drink piping hot coffee (coffee is brewed at 205 degrees) Brugo has a truly remarkable Temperature Control Chamber that produces the perfect temperature sip of coffee! Yup, that’s right – the perfect temperature every time – even SECONDS after you poured you cup!

Coffee should be enjoyed at a temperature of 150 to 170 degrees. With a simple twist of the mode selector, you can achieve this perfect temperature in seconds. After you have the mode selector in place (pointing to “tip & cool”) just tip the cup away from you – the farther you tip it, the bigger the sip. Then swirl it around a few time, and sip! That’s it!

I was a little nervous about this as well – I have burnt my mouth more time then I like to remember, and didn’t really want to be the one to try it out. Being that Jay was at work, I had to buck up and do it. The result? A perfect sip of coffee! Not to hot, not too cold – my real life “Goldilocks” experience – it was “Just right”!

You can also use this mug on the “sip” setting and do just that. It performs as any other travel mug and lets you bypass the “tip & cool” feature and just drink the coffee (or tea!). This really is the ultimate coffee mug!

I liked that the setting were so easy to switch between, and that you could be sure the top was securely in place – there are guide marks on the front so you know that you have tightened it just right. This is also a very attractive travel mug. It is available in a wide array of colors (I received the orange “Slice” color to review) and they are finished with stainless steel and chrome accents. This mug also features a no slip bottom, ergonomic grip, and can hold 16 oz of your favorite hot beverage!
