“Shiver me timbers and walk the plank!”

It’s time to play pirates!!

My kids love to dress up and play pretend. V has a huge collection of dresses, costumes, silks, accessories, and creativity to dress up and play for hours. E on the other hand… loves to play dress up with her, but doesn’t have a great costume collection. Because of this, he usually ends up in a dress!

E has really been into pirates lately, so when I saw the super cute pirate costumes that were available for toddlers and knew that they would be just perfect for him.

When the costume arrived, E could hardly wait to try it on. Even more of a surprise was that we also received a pirate accessory pack with an eye-patch and hoop earring. He wore it all day and even made himself a sword out of my frosting spatula.

He makes the cutest pirate … and LOVES getting all dressed up.

He has put some part of this costume on every dance since it arrived, and I love that he talks like a pirate while wearing it.

About the Child Captain Black Pirate Costume:

Aargh! This smart-looking child’s Captain Black costume is set to sail. The polyester jacket has a distressed leather-like look. Decorative silver buttons line the jacket’s front on each side. Two front faux pockets and wide cuffs provide stylish details. The smooth vinyl vest with silver buttons is sewn onto jacket. The black polyester pants have an elastic waistband and fully attached foam boot tops. The boot tops have felt trim with printed-on skull and crossbone appliques. A red satin fringed waist sash adds a touch of class to the costume and the shaped foam pirate hat with attached red and black striped bandana tops off the look. Don’t forget to add a sword to this one-of-a-kind pirate costume.

Currently available in three sizes – toddler, small and medium – I opted for the small to give him some room to grow into it. The pants are probably my favorite aspect of the entire thing — I really like that they have the attached book tops. It really makes the costume look put together.

And now we are off to search for buried treasure!
