Bambo-Nature Diapers Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

Both of my children have incredibly sensitive skin. I hoped that Ian would not have the same sensitivity to diapers that my daughter had always had. We struggled to find a diaper that didn’t cause her to break out in a rash, and we were now having the same problem with him.

The first few months, Ian could wear any type of diaper that I purchased, and I tried to purchase ones with high backs for extra leak protection. But, I noticed that he was needing an overnight diaper around 8 months, and it all went down hill from there.

He started to get really bad diaper rashes, ones that would just not go away. I panicked. This was exactly what happened with his sister, and we were told she would always have the rashes until she was potty trained. Ian was too young to be potty trained, so I frantically started trying different brands. I stopped using the overnight diapers, and tried a whole bunch of diaper creams and wipes to try to sooth his bottom.

The different brands would sometimes make it worse, and sometimes seem to a help a little but not too much. Ian would cry whenever we changed his diaper, and we were frustrated that we couldn’t make the rash go away.

Then I found Bambo-Nature Diapers. I was immediately hopefully that these might help with this rash. I started to research the company, and quickly felt more and more positive about these diapers.

The first thing that I noticed was that Bambo-Nature Diapers carries the Nordic Swan Eco Label. I had no idea what this was, so I started to check it out. It basically means that these diapers were produced under the strictest of guidelines pertaining to the environment and consumers health, as well as ensuring that the end product was manufactured with no harmful chemicals, less waste, and more recycling.  All Nordic Swan Eco Label products MUST be of the same performance quality as those commercially produced goods that do not hold the Swan label. That means that these diapers must meet, or exceed,  the same performance standards as your main-stream diaper brands.

I loved that I could pronounce all of the materials used to create this diaper, and that it offered features that were not on the supermarket diapers. One of my favorites is the color changing letters on the front of the diaper (an easy way to tell when the diaper is wet) and that there is a breathable back sheet to help circulate air while the baby is wearing the diaper to help prevent irritation.

My absolute favorite fact that I learned about these diapers? They have been evaluated by both dermatologists and the Asthma & Allergy Association, and are proven to pose the smallest possible risk of causing allergy, eczema or skin-irritation to the user.

I knew that I HAD to try these diapers with Ian!!

I was so excited when they were delivered, that I immediately changed Ian into one. I loved the cute designs on the diapers, and that they fit just like his other ones did. The only real fit difference was the size – where he was growing out of a supermarket size 4, he fit perfectly in a Bambo size 3.

I have been using these diapers for a little over a month, and I absolutely LOVE them. I hardly get any leaks, and I was thrilled when the passed the over night test. My heavy wetter woke up in a dry bed – leak free! That is not something I can say about most diaper brands we have tried. And with  my biggest concern – Ian’s rash – I saw an improvement within a week of using these diapers. I was thrilled! He no longer cries because it hurts for us to wipe him, and I am happy knowing that I am not putting a product on my child that is causing him discomfort and pain.

I am also very happy to know that while my son is wearing diapers, I am helping the planet by choosing Eco-friendly disposables. Cloth diapers were not an option for us, and while I was concerned about all the waste that typical disposables produce, I wasn’t sure what my other options were. Now I know, and I am happy to help my son and my planet all at the same time.

Can’t wait to try these diapers??
